The 92nd Academy Awards are almost here, and being that the nomination list was recently released, we thought it was time to look at which films will be receiving the most recognition. To do this, we’ll be focusing on the movies with the highest number of nominations.

Before we get started, we’re shouting it out to Bombshell and The Two Popes. While these two films could have made this list with a total of three nominations, we’re limiting our list to ten entries.

With that out of the way, it’s time to get hyped about award season; Here are the 10 films with the most nominations at the 92nd Academy Awards.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (3)

The final installment in the long-running Skywalker saga has Finn and Poe setting out to stop the First Order’s plans to create a new Empire. Meanwhile, Rey prepares to confront the evil Kylo Ren.

The Rise of Skywalker received nominations similar to that of its predecessor, including Best Original Score, Best Sound Editing, and Best Visual Effects. With an iconic soundtrack and big-budget visuals, these noms come as no surprise.

Ford V Ferrari (4)

Next in line, with four nominations, is Ford v Ferrari.

This drama tells of American engineers and designers who hope to create a new Ford racecar that will outperform the dominating Ferrari brand.

The film managed to pick up Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, and Best Film Editing nominations. It has additionally been entered into the coveted Best Picture category.

Little Women (6)

The 2019 adaption of Louisa May Alcott’s iconic 1868 novel of the same tells of a group of young women, the March sisters, who live together in Concord, Massachusetts while their father fights in the Civil War. Little Women additionally flashes forward to the girls’ adult life, where they attempt to chase after the dreams that have been shaped by their childhood memories.

Though director Greta Gerwig was snubbed in the Best Director category, she did receive a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination. The film is also up for Best Original Score, Best Costume Design, and Best Picture. Saoirse Ronan and Florence Pugh are up for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.

Parasite (6)

This South Korean thriller topped many critics’ year-end top-ten lists, so it came as no surprise when it managed to break into Best Picture territory.

Parasite tells of the destitute Kim family that struggles to survive in a world separated by class. However, they soon decide to pose as skilled workers for the Park family in an attempt to get a taste of the privilege they lack.

The film is additionally up for Best International Feature Film, Best Production Design, Best Film Editing, and Best Original Screenplay. Bong-Joon-ho is competing in the Best Director category.

Jojo Rabbit (6)

Jojo Rabbit, based on Christine Leunens’ book Caging Skies, is also up for Best Picture.

The comedy-drama tells of a young boy named Jojo who is living in Nazi Germany. After discovering that his mother is keeping a Jewish girl in the attic, Jojo must figure out what he stands for (and what he doesn’t) with a little help from the over-the-top, imaginary Hitler character inside his head.

Jojo Rabbit’s other noms include Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Film Editing. Additionally, Scarlett Johansson is competing in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Marriage Story (6)

Jojo Rabbit isn’t the only film Johansson is nominated for; she and co-star Adam Driver are up for Best Actress and Best Actor for their performances in Marriage Story.

The Netflix drama tells of a theater director and an actress who seek out a divorce. As if that weren’t difficult enough, they are forced to sort things out on opposite sides of the country with her moving to L.A. and him staying behind in New York City.

The film is competing in other categories including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Original Score. Laura Dern is up for Best Supporting Actress.

The Irishman (10)

The Irishman sees a 1950s truck driver getting pulled into the schemes of a mobster and being turned into a hitman.

Martin Scorsese is up for Best Director and stars Al Pacino and Joe Pesci will be competing head-to-head for the Best Supporting Actor title. Other nominations for this Netflix film include Best Visual Effects, Best Film Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Picture.

1917 (10)

This epic war drama has gained lots of attention for appearing to be captured in a single shot. It tells of two British troopers who are forced to deliver an urgent message during World War I.

1917 walked away with the Best Motion Picture - Drama at the Golden Globes, and has a fair shot at the Best Picture award at the Oscars. Sam Mendes is up for Best Director, while the film will also compete for Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup And Hairstyling, Best Production Design, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Visual Effects.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (10)

A popular actor and his stuntman navigate the slowly evolving entertainment landscape during the end of Hollywood’s Golden Age in this comedy-drama.

The film’s flair had it earning Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Screenplay nominations. While Quentin Tarantino will compete in the Best Director category, Leonardo DiCaprio will battle it out for the Best Actor award, and Brad Pitt will take on Best Supporting Actor.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is additionally in the running for Best Picture.

Joker (11)

Topping off the list with a total of 11 nominations is Joker.

The psychological thriller reveals the origins of Batman’s nemesis. While Arthur at first works as a stand-up comedian in Gotham City, he is eventually driven toward insanity and becomes the Clown Prince of Crime fans know best.

Joker is up for Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Joaquin Phoenix (who recently won a Golden Globe for his performance) is also up for Best Actor while Todd Phillips is nominated for Best Director. Of course, Joker also managed to nab a Best Picture nomination.
