Today Apple shares have officially crossed the $600 mark for the first time since back in November of 2012. Following Apple’s earnings report late last month and the announcement it would increase share buybacks to $90 billion alongside a seven-to-one stock split, investors seem to be responding positively as the stock hovered close to $600 before finally crossing today. That’s up from the low $500’s it’s been floating around since October of last year, but not quite the high of $705 it hit in September of 2012 following the iPhone 5 introduction....

Disney has delayed the release dates for Ad Astra and Artemis Fowl. The Mouse House announced new dates on through to 2027 today, in the wake of its purchase of Fox’s movie and TV assets in March. Among other things, the House that Mickey Built confirmed it intends to alternate between a new Star Wars movie and Avatar film every year in December, starting with Avatar 2 in 2021 and an as-yet untitled Star Wars adventure in 2022....

PlayStation Vita gets a price cut in Japan, none in the US Sony dropped the price of the PlayStation Vita in Japan. The handheld system has been available for just over a year, and hasn’t made the impact Sony had hoped for. Much of this is due to increased competition in the mobile space with the recent rise in popularity of gaming on smartphones. Sony does not have plans for a price drop in the US though....

Along with Photoshop Touch for iPad 2, Adobe today officially announced ‘Primetime’ this morning. Primetime is a mashup of its video publishing, analytics and advertising platforms which aims to provide end to end video solutions for video publishers. Viewers on all four major platforms: Windows, Mac, iOS and Android will be able to use the output and Adobe specifically mentions that it will work on Apple’s native video, without requiring any tricks....

First off, it seems that Apple has three versions of the new budget handset: A2595, A2783, and A2784. This could mean that the budget handset may see a price drop. Yes, you read that right. But it could also go the other way. While the site is quite vague on other information – the new handset might look like the current iPhone SE, or might look like the iPhone XR, and might use either the A14 Bionic or the newer A15 Bionic processor – the three models listed feel legit....
